Sponsored By: Representative Mrvan, Frank J. [D-IN-1]
In Committee
Summary
Annual, facility-level transparency for VA police compensation. This bill would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to produce an annual report listing pay for its police-related positions by VA facility and by specific job titles. Each report must show base salaries, availability pay under 5 U.S.C. 5545a, bonuses used to recruit or retain officers, and any other compensation. The first report would be due within six months of enactment and then provided at least once per calendar year.
