Summary

Broadens VA Solid Start outreach by replacing 'tailored mailings' with 'tailored lines of communication.' The bill would amend paragraph (2) of section 6320(b) of Title 38, United States Code, to explicitly authorize mailings, text messaging, virtual chatting, and other electronic forms of messaging as outreach methods for the Department of Veterans Affairs Solid Start program. This gives VA clearer authority to contact veterans by texts and online chat in addition to traditional mail.
