Protections for restaurants on reservation sites

If enacted, third-party reservation sites would need a written deal to list a restaurant. A designee with rights from the restaurant could also allow listings. Any contract clause that makes the restaurant pay for the site’s own mistakes would be void. The Federal Trade Commission could enforce these rules as unfair or deceptive acts. These rules would start 180 days after enactment. The bill defines which places count as food service (restaurants, bars, food trucks, and similar) and what counts as a reservation site.
