Tax break for military bonuses

If enacted, members of the uniformed services who get a chapter 5 bonus could exclude it from federal taxable income. This would lower the tax you owe on that bonus. It would apply to tax years beginning after December 31, 2024. The bill would keep the current exclusion for other qualified military benefits.
