VA study of RNA PTSD test
This bill would require the VA to study whether RNA sequencing can diagnose inflammation or cellular stress linked to PTSD. The VA Center for Innovation for Care and Payment would carry out the study. The study would start within 120 days after enactment and run in VA facilities in five Veterans Integrated Service Networks. The study would end on September 30, 2027. The VA would report the results to the House and Senate Veterans' Affairs Committees by September 30, 2028. If the test proves useful, the findings would inform future VA PTSD diagnosis and care.
