More PFAS cleanup transparency for communities

If enacted, the bill would require the Secretary of Defense to submit a PFAS remediation acceleration strategy within 180 days. It would require annual site-by-site interim remedial action reports to the Armed Services committees, starting within one year. Reports would show per-site funding (budgeted, obligated, and later expensed), phase-by-phase status, timelines, and explanations for any phase delayed more than 12 months. The Secretary would also publish an accessible public online dashboard within one year, updated every six months, showing site funding, cleanup status, projected and actual timelines, and community contact points.
