Sponsored By: Representative Walberg, Tim [R-MI-5]

Passed House

Summary

Expands motorcycle coverage under the America the Beautiful pass. This bill would clarify that when the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is used for per-vehicle entry it covers the passholder and passengers in a single private, noncommercial vehicle. For motorcycles it would cover the rider and any passengers and also one additional motorcycle, including that motorcycle's passengers, when accompanying the passholder. The bill also reorganizes the guideline text to direct the Secretaries to issue these vehicle-specific rules.

Wider park pass coverage for cars and motorcycles

If enacted, your National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass would cover entrance and standard amenity fees when a site charges per-vehicle entry. It would cover you and any passengers in one private, noncommercial vehicle. If you enter by motorcycle, it would cover you and your passenger(s) plus one extra motorcycle and its passengers. This would only apply at per-vehicle fee sites and would not change who can get the pass or other fee types.
