Sponsored By: Representative Steube, W. Gregory [R-FL-17]
Introduced
Summary
Requires the Department of State to notify U.S. passport holders at least 180 days before their passports expire. The Passport Notification Act of 2025 would have the Department's Bureau of Consular Affairs send targeted notices that state the pending expiration date, explain the renewal process, and identify locations where renewal materials may be submitted. Notices may be sent electronically or on paper. The requirement would apply to passports scheduled to expire on or after the date 180 days after enactment.
