Require parks to follow diversity memo
This bill would give the January 12, 2017 diversity memo for public lands the force of law (82 Fed. Reg. 6179). If enacted, agencies that run national parks, forests, and other public lands would have to follow its inclusion rules. They could change outreach, access, hiring, and visitor services to better serve underrepresented groups. There is no new funding in this bill. The change would take effect upon enactment.
