Summary
Limits how long temporary U.S. Attorney appointments can last. This bill would amend 28 U.S.C. §546 so the expiration of the time limits for vacancies in U.S. Attorney offices follows the time frames in 28 U.S.C. §3346 and would repeal subsection (d) of §546.

New time limits for temporary U.S. Attorneys
If enacted, this bill would change how temporary U.S. Attorneys serve. Their service would end when the time limits in section 3346 run out. It would also remove subsection (d) of section 546. This could change how long interim leaders serve and when new appointments must be made. If enacted, the change would take effect right away.
