More CDC funding for HIV prevention
The bill would provide $2.165 billion in fiscal year 2026. The money would go to the CDC's National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and Tuberculosis Prevention. It would be on top of other HHS and CDC funds. It would have to be used only for HIV, viral hepatitis, STD, and TB prevention programs. It could not be transferred to any other entity. If enacted, this could support testing, prevention, and tracking efforts nationwide during FY2026.
