Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Rewards Program Act
Sponsored By: Representative Lynch, Stephen F. [D-MA-8]
In Committee
Summary
Renames the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Rewards Pilot Program to the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Rewards Program and creates a 7-year sunset measured from the date of enactment. It would remove the pilot's existing 3-year reference and convert the pilot framework into a statutory program designation. It would also update the statute's table of contents and related references in Title XCVII of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 to reflect the new program name.

More time to claim asset recovery rewards
If enacted, the asset recovery rewards program would run for 7 years from the bill’s enactment. The bill would remove a prior 3-year pilot reference and set a 7-year sunset. You could seek a reward during that 7-year period. It would also rename the program, dropping the word “Pilot.” It would not change funding, who qualifies, or guarantee any payment.
