Green Star flag and maker license
If enacted, VA would design a Green Star Service Flag. If you are next of kin to a veteran who died by suicide on or after September 11, 2001, you would be allowed to display it. "Next of kin" includes family members and others the VA names in rules. Makers and sellers would need a VA license. Making the flag without a license could bring a civil penalty up to $1,000. The change would take effect at enactment.
