More funds to fight Great Lakes mussels

If enacted, the government would authorize $500 million from 2026 through 2035 to fight invasive mussels in the Great Lakes. The money could be provided to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission. Interior and Commerce would help design the work through Fish and Wildlife, USGS, and NOAA. Efforts would be coordinated with federal, state, Tribal, local, and interstate partners. The funds would be on top of other money the Commission may receive.
