More USDA help for small co-ops
If enacted, agricultural cooperatives with fewer than 2,500 employees would be added to the list of entities eligible for certain USDA programs. That means these co-ops could apply for USDA grants, loans, or technical assistance already available under that statute. They would still need to meet each program's existing rules and requirements to receive help. The change would take effect upon enactment.
