More mammography access for veterans

If enacted, this bill would convert the VA telescreening mammography pilot into a broader expansion program. Not later than two years after enactment (about Feb 5, 2028 if enacted Feb 5, 2026), the VA would have to offer in each State and in Puerto Rico at least one of: the telescreening program, a full-service mammography program at a VA facility, or a VA mobile mammography program. Each required program would have to be accessible to veterans with paralysis, a spinal cord injury or disorder, or other disabilities under applicable accessibility requirements. The bill would let the Secretary expand telescreening to VA facilities not in the original pilot and would insert May 1, 2027 as the referenced end date in the statute.
