More heart screenings for low-income women

If enacted, the CDC would be able to award supplemental grants to recipients of existing breast and cervical cancer screening grants. The grants would pay for extra preventive services for low-income women, such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks, health education, referrals, and follow-up care. Eligible women would include those already served by those screening grants and other low-income women who meet eligibility rules the Secretary sets. The bill would authorize $250 million for fiscal years 2027 through 2031 to carry out this program.
