Freedom House Ambulance Service Congressional Gold Medal Act

Summary

Awards a single Congressional Gold Medal to the Freedom House Ambulance Service in recognition of its pioneering role in U.S. emergency medical services and civil rights history. The bill would have the Secretary of the Treasury design the medal and require the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate to arrange its presentation. After presentation, the gold medal would be given to the National Museum of African American History and Culture for display and research. The U.S. Mint may strike and sell bronze duplicates to recover the costs of striking and deposit proceeds into the U.S. Mint Public Enterprise Fund.
