Immigration relief for Roberto Carlos Lopez

If enacted, Roberto Carlos Lopez would be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa or to adjust status to lawful permanent resident. He must file the visa or adjustment application with the required fees within 2 years after enactment. If he enters the United States before that 2-year filing deadline and otherwise qualifies, he would be treated as having entered and remained lawfully as of the date of enactment. The bill would bar his removal or denial of admission for any grounds shown in DHS or State Visa Office records as of enactment, and DHS would have to rescind related removal or deportation orders. If he receives a visa or green card, the State Department would reduce the country visa total by one in the current or next fiscal year. The bill would also prevent his natural parents, brothers, and sisters from receiving immigration rights solely because they are related to him.
