More support for parenting foster youth
If enacted, the bill would require State section 477 programs to connect foster youth in eligible families with evidence-based home visiting services under section 511. States would be able to use their section 477 allotments to pay for tailored case management and resource coordination for expectant or parenting youth. State applications would need a chief executive officer certification that processes exist to give those youth information about home visiting services. These changes would take effect one year after enactment and apply only to State plans approved by HHS on or after that date.
