Introduced
Summary
Require certain 501(c)(3) nonprofits to use E-Verify. This bill would amend the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 to add a subsection that defines "certain nonprofits" as tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations that pay any individual for personal services for political purposes or to take an active role in political management or a campaign. Those organizations would have to choose to enroll in the E-Verify program under section 403(a) and comply with its terms.

E-Verify requirement for political nonprofits
This bill would require any 501(c)(3) organization exempt under 501(a) that pays anyone for personal services for a political purpose or to take an active part in political management or a campaign to elect to join the federal E-Verify program. Those nonprofits would need to elect participation under section 403(a) and follow all terms and conditions of that election. The text does not set an effective date, penalties, or extra funding to help with compliance.
