Restore and protect Independence exhibits
This bill would require the Secretary of the Interior, through the National Park Service, to restore covered exhibits at Independence National Historical Park that were removed from public display after January 21, 2026. Restoration would make those exhibits appear as they did on January 21, 2026 and must be finished within 15 days after enactment. The bill would also bar the Secretary from adding, removing, destroying, or otherwise altering those covered exhibits without express authorization from Congress. It would define "covered exhibit", "Historical Park", and "Secretary" for these rules.
