Summary
Bans the listing or clearing of exchange contracts tied to war, terrorism, assassination, or an individual's death. Exchanges barred from death-related contracts
If enacted, registered exchanges and clearinghouses would not be able to list or accept for clearing contracts based on an "excluded commodity" that reference terrorism, assassination, or war. They also would not be able to list contracts that involve or closely relate to an individual's death. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission would decide what counts as similar activity. This would take effect upon enactment.
