Tax-free septic subsidies for residents
If enacted, you would be able to exclude from your taxable income any subsidy a State or local government provides (directly or indirectly) to a resident for buying or installing a wastewater management measure for your residence. Wastewater management measures would include installations or modifications primarily designed to manage wastewater, such as septic tanks and cesspools, for one or more dwelling units. The exclusion would apply to amounts received after the date of enactment, in taxable years ending after that date.
