End Medicare and Medicaid innovation center
If enacted, the bill would end the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). It would also repeal the statute that gives CMMI authority to run Medicare and Medicaid payment and delivery demonstrations. This would stop ongoing and future CMMI demonstration projects and payment experiments. Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, providers, insurers, and states could see changes to payment rules, pilot programs, or access. The bill does not set transition dates, replacement programs, or winding-down funding.
