Reporting rules for immigrant resettlement groups

This bill would require tax-exempt groups that file Form 990 to give the Treasury Secretary aggregate data they ordinarily collect on helping noncitizen people resettle in the United States. Reports would include counts of noncitizens helped with resettlement or relocation during the taxable year. They would also include counts of those helped to enroll or participate in any Federal benefit program and any cash or in-kind aid those people received, plus whether the group's help was direct or indirect. Groups would not have to provide any information that can identify a particular person. The rule would apply for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2026. The Treasury Secretary would send Congress an aggregate statistical report by December 31, 2028, and each year after that.
