Stops conservation money buying private land
If enacted, states that get money from the Land and Water Conservation Fund would not be able to use it to buy land, water, or related rights from private owners. The bill also bars using any Land and Water Conservation Fund appropriations for purchases from private landowners. This would cover state grants and any other deals paid for by the Fund. It would take effect when enacted, and the bill lists no exceptions.
