More legal help for veterans

This bill would let the Department of Veterans Affairs support university law school legal clinics that help veterans. These clinics would help with VA appeals and proceedings about fiduciary appointments. They would also help with filing and appealing VA benefit claims and with other civil, criminal, or family legal matters the Secretary approves. The bill would authorize $10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031 to carry out the program. The authorization would allow Congress to appropriate the funds; it would not by itself obligate spending. The section would be effective upon enactment.
