No Rogue Jurors Act
Sponsored By: Representative Letlow, Julia [R-LA-5]
Introduced
Summary
Blocks federal funding for groups that promote jury nullification. This bill would bar any Federal funds to organizations, schools, or entities that run training, produce materials, or do outreach — including under names like "Equity & Root Cause Jury Training" or any substantially similar designation — when the purpose is to encourage people to serve on Federal or District of Columbia juries with the intent to vote contrary to the evidence or applicable law. The prohibition covers grants, contracts, awards, and any other form of Federal financial assistance and takes effect by withholding that assistance.

Ban federal funding for jury nullification
If enacted, the bill would bar the use of any Federal funds to give grants, contracts, awards, or other financial help to organizations, schools, or entities that promote jury nullification. This covers training, materials, or outreach that encourages people to seek jury service in Federal or D.C. courts to vote against the evidence or the law, including voting to acquit regardless of whether the charged elements are proven. The bill explicitly covers programs called "Equity & Root Cause Jury Training" or any substantially similar name. Covered organizations would lose eligibility for federal funding for those activities, and the ban would take effect upon enactment.
