Introduced

Summary

Creates an exemption from the warning-flag requirement in 49 C.F.R. 393.87 for stinger-steered combinations carrying assembled highway vehicles. The bill would require the Secretary of Transportation to revise section 393.87 to exempt those stinger-steered combinations as defined in 23 C.F.R. 658.5. The exemption would apply only to the warning-flag rule for projecting loads. The bill would also require the Secretary to make that regulatory change without using notice-and-comment or other formal rulemaking.
