Sponsored By: Representative Perry, Scott [R-PA-10]
Introduced
Summary
Expands Commodity Credit Corporation support to include biofuel feedstocks and related infrastructure. This bill would amend Section 5 of the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act by inserting the phrase "or crops used to produce biofuel (including any infrastructure relating to such crops)" after each reference to "tobacco." The change would make biofuel crops and related infrastructure part of the enumerated commodities that CCC programs may support or otherwise address.

More CCC help for biofuel farms
This bill would add crops used to make biofuel and the infrastructure for those crops to the CCC's covered commodities. It would do this by inserting that phrase after each appearance of "tobacco" in Section 5 of the CCC Charter Act. If enacted, producers of biofuel feedstocks and owners or operators of related infrastructure would be newly eligible for CCC support. This support would include CCC loans, purchases, or other program actions, but the bill does not set new funding or change eligibility rules.
