Study of Mullica River Watershed

If enacted, this bill would require a federal study of the Mullica River watershed in New Jersey. It would add the Mullica River, Wading River, Batsto River, and many tributaries to the Wild and Scenic Rivers study list. The Secretary of the Interior would have to finish the study and send a report to the House Natural Resources Committee and the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. The study must be completed not later than 3 years after funds are made available to carry it out. The bill does not appropriate funding. Local residents, landowners, and recreation-related small businesses could be affected if the study leads to later river protections.
