Sales include surcharges of $35 on gold, $10 on silver, and $5 on half-dollars payable to the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development to support youth development and civil rights education. *The Secretary must recover all costs and ensure no net cost to the federal government before any surcharges are disbursed.*

Rosa Parks coins for sale in 2029

If enacted, the U.S. Mint would sell Rosa Parks commemorative coins only during 2029. It could make up to 50,000 $5 gold, 400,000 $1 silver, and 750,000 half-dollar clad coins, in proof and uncirculated. Coins would be legal tender and sold as numismatic items. Your price would include face value, a surcharge ($35, $10, or $5), and Mint costs; bulk and prepaid orders could get discounts. Surcharges would go to the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute after all Mint costs are recovered, and the program would have no net cost to the government. Surcharges could not be collected if that would exceed the two-program annual limit for commemorative coins; designs would feature Rosa Parks and required inscriptions, including "2029."
