More pay flexibility for VA clinicians
This bill would remove the limit on how many pay-waivers the Secretary of Veterans Affairs can grant for critical VA health-care workers. If enacted, the Secretary would be able to issue more waivers that let covered clinicians and other critical health staff be paid above the usual statutory pay limits. The change applies to waivers under 38 U.S.C. 7431(e)(6) and also redesignates surrounding subparagraphs. The bill does not set an effective date or dollar amounts.
