Passed House
Creates commemorative coins honoring the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and raises funds for the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. The law directs the Treasury to mint up to 50,000 five-dollar gold coins (at least 90% gold) and up to 400,000 one-dollar silver coins (at least 90% silver) with designs that reflect courage, sacrifice, and include the inscription "Never Forget." Coins are legal tender and sold at prices covering face value, a surcharge ($35 for gold, $10 for silver), and production costs. Surcharges are paid to the museum and are subject to audit. Issuance is limited to the one-year period beginning January 1, 2028, and the Mint is encouraged to use the West Point facility. *This law is designed to ensure no net cost to the federal government by requiring Treasury to recover all design and issuance costs before any surcharge payments are made.*

2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.
If enacted, buyers would pay the face value, a surcharge, and the Mint’s design and issuing costs. Costs would include labor, materials, dies, machine use, overhead, marketing, and shipping. The surcharge would be $35 per $5 gold coin and $10 per $1 silver coin. Surcharges collected would go to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum to support operations and maintenance. No money would go to the museum until the Treasury recovers all program costs, and the museum would face federal audit rules. Bulk orders and prepaid orders would get reasonable discounts. A surcharge would not be added if doing so would make more than two commemorative coin programs in that calendar year. The program would be run so there is no net cost to the federal government.
If enacted, the Mint would make special 9/11 coins for one year only: January 1, 2028 through December 31, 2028. Up to 50,000 $5 gold coins (8.359 grams, at least 90% gold) and 400,000 $1 silver coins (26.73 grams, at least 90% silver) would be allowed. Designs would honor victims, rescuers, and survivors, and at least one coin would say "Never Forget." Each coin would show its value and include "Liberty," "In God We Trust," "United States of America," and "E Pluribus Unum," with a 25th anniversary reference. The Secretary would choose designs after consulting the 9/11 Museum and the Commission of Fine Arts, with review by the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee. The coins would be legal tender and treated as numismatic items, and sold in uncirculated and proof versions. Congress would state they should be struck at West Point, New York, when possible.

119-hr2102, Major Richard Star Act
Establishes concurrent receipt for retirees with combat-related disabilities. This bill would let eligible retirees receive both military retired pay and veterans' disability compensation for the same months without the offset rules that currently reduce payments. - Families of disabled retirees: Veterans with combat-related disabilities would receive both retired pay and VA disability compensation for the same months, increasing their monthly household income. - Defense and VA payment rules: The bill would amend 10 U.S.C. 1413a and 10 U.S.C. 1414 to exempt retired pay from reductions under 38 U.S.C. 5304 and 5305 and add a clear monthly no-offset rule. - Implementation and technical changes: It renames and updates chapter sections, adjusts cross-references, and applies to payments beginning the first month after enactment.
119-hr842, Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act
Would expand Medicare to cover multi-cancer early detection screening tests. It defines eligible tests as certain FDA-cleared or approved genomic blood tests or comparable biological-sample tests and directs the Secretary to use the national coverage determinations process to decide when they are covered.
119-hr1262, Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act
Speeds and strengthens pediatric cancer drug development. It expands which cancer products companies must study in children, reshapes organ transplant network governance and fees, and adds new FDA international and transparency steps. - Children with cancer and researchers: Requires pediatric studies that produce clinically meaningful data on dosing, safety, and early effectiveness and widens the kinds of drug combinations studied. It also sets aside $25 million for pediatric drug studies in each of fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028. - Transplant patients and transplant network members: Changes Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network governance and financing by allowing quarterly registration fees, requiring those fees fund OPTN operations, improving electronic health record integration, and calling for a GAO review within two years. - FDA partners and drug makers: Creates an Abraham Accords Office to boost regulatory coordination and technical assistance abroad, and forces more transparency during generic (ANDA) reviews about whether generics are qualitatively and quantitatively the same as listed drugs. It also raises the Medicare Improvement Fund amount from $1.4 billion to $2.6 billion. Increases federal outlays by roughly $1.3 billion, driven by a $1.2 billion boost to the Medicare Improvement Fund and $75 million for pediatric studies, adding to federal spending.
119-hr909, Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act of 2025
Temporarily add a new source of deposits to the Crime Victims Fund from certain False Claims Act recoveries. It would broaden what can flow into the Fund through fiscal year 2029 while carving out specific exclusions and requiring an audit.
119-hr3514, Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act of 2025
Standardized electronic prior authorization for Medicare Advantage would force plans to use a Secretary‑approved electronic system and publish detailed prior‑authorization data and criteria. The bill aims to speed decisions, increase transparency, and strengthen enrollee protections. - Medicare Advantage enrollees would get clear access to the PA criteria and protections, and the bill pushes for real‑time decisions for routinely approved items and services. - Providers and suppliers would send PA requests through a secure electronic transmission system that excludes faxes and noncompliant portals, and would receive the criteria used to make PA decisions. - Medicare Advantage plans would need to meet transparency rules starting plan years on or after January 1, 2027 and establish electronic PA programs by January 1, 2028, with CMS publishing plan‑level PA data and the GAO evaluating implementation by January 1, 2032.
119-hr2048, Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act
Ends Social Security and Medicare waiting periods for people with metastatic breast cancer. This bill would add “metastatic breast cancer” to the Social Security Act provisions that remove the waiting period for disability insurance benefits and would waive the 24-month Medicare waiting period, allowing affected individuals to access disability benefits and Medicare coverage without those delays.
Surfaced from PRIA's policy knowledge graph, ranked by signal strength, connected by evidence.
Would block federal eminent domain for most agricultural land when a feasible alternative exists, defines covered land, and excludes tiny low‑income parcels.
