Introduced
Summary
Expedites House consideration of H.R. 3310 to allow Temporary Protected Status for Venezuelan nationals. It waives points of order and treats the bill as read. It limits debate to one hour, equally divided, allows one motion to recommit, and waives specified House rules for the bill's consideration. It also requires the Clerk to transmit a message to the Senate within one week after passage. These changes affect only how the House considers H.R. 3310 and do not alter the bill's TPS eligibility or procedures.

Faster House processing of Venezuelan TPS
This resolution would make the House take up H.R. 3310 right away. It would waive all points of order against considering the bill and against provisions in the bill. The House would treat the bill as having been read. Debate would be limited to one hour total, split equally between the majority and minority leaders or their designees, and there would be one motion to recommit. Clause 1(c) of Rule XIX and Clause 8 of Rule XX would not apply during consideration. The resolution would also require the Clerk to notify the Senate that the House passed H.R. 3310 no later than one week after passage. These steps would only change House floor timing and procedures and would not themselves change who is eligible for Temporary Protected Status or the TPS rules.
