Sponsored By: Representative Tlaib, Rashida [D-MI-12]

Introduced

Summary

Designate April as National Arab American Heritage Month. This resolution would express support for that designation, praise Arab Americans' role in the nation's economy and culture, and urge people to observe the month with programs and activities that celebrate their contributions. It notes about 3.7 million Arab Americans from 22 Arabic-speaking countries, records that at least 47 states plus Washington, D.C., have recognized the month, and mentions four states have passed permanent laws.
