Sponsored By: Representative Rouzer, David [R-NC-7]

Introduced

Summary

This resolution would recognize linemen as first responders and designate April 18, 2026, as National Lineman Appreciation Day. It would honor linemen for keeping power flowing, serving as first responders during storms, and working high on power lines year round under dangerous conditions. The text highlights their role in maintaining and expanding the Nation's energy infrastructure, notes the family and personal sacrifices they make, and calls for community recognition of their contributions to public safety and the economy.
