Summary
Designates April 29, 2026 as Denim Day to raise public awareness of sexual assault and to reject victim‑blaming. This resolution would honor survivors, promote access to trauma‑informed medical, mental health, and legal services, urge improvements in reporting, investigation, and prosecution with survivor‑centered approaches, call on all levels of government to strengthen prevention and funding, recognize disproportionate impacts on teenagers, women of color, Indigenous people, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people, and ask the House Rules Committee to allow Members to wear denim on the House floor as a sign of solidarity.
