Original Resolution Honoring Transportation Security Officers for their Sacrifice and Dedication to Public Service During Federal Government Shutdowns

Sponsored By: Representative Green, Al [D-TX-9]

Introduced

Summary

Honoring Transportation Security Officers' sacrifice during unpaid shutdown work. This resolution would thank Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and other Transportation Security Administration staff for continuing to work without pay during the February 14- April 30, 2026 partial shutdown and recognize the financial strain many faced, such as missed shifts, taking second jobs, and lingering harm from a prior 43-day shutdown in 2025. It would affirm TSOs' role in keeping airports operational and express opposition to withholding TSA employee compensation during shutdowns.
