Summary
Designates September 3, 2026 as Neuroblastoma Awareness Day to spotlight a deadly childhood cancer and promote earlier diagnosis and more research. Neuroblastoma is the most common cancer in infants, with about 600–800 U.S. cases each year. It represents roughly 8–10% of childhood cancers and about 15% of childhood cancer deaths. About 90% of cases are diagnosed before age 5. High-risk disease has an approximate 63% five-year survival and requires intensive multimodal treatment. Survivors can face lifelong complications. The resolution seeks to recognize families and encourage investment in treatments and research.
