Introduced
Summary
Promote greater Hispanic and Latino leadership in the U.S. Armed Forces. The resolution would honor the sacrifices and long history of Hispanic and Latino servicemembers and highlight their contributions from the Revolutionary War through modern conflicts. It notes that about 20.8% of servicemembers identified as Hispanic or Latino in 2025, including 21.8% of active-duty and 19.1% of Reservists, while only 3.4% of general and flag officers and 9.8% of the officer corps are Hispanic or Latino. It also records that 60 Hispanic and Latino servicemembers have received the Medal of Honor and commits the House to addressing barriers to advancement.
