Community colleges expand affordable access to higher education and local workforce training. This resolution would recognize 'Community College Month' in April 2025 and celebrate the more than 1,000 community colleges that serve about 10.2 million credit and noncredit students. It notes average in-district tuition of $3,990, that community colleges enrolled 43.1 percent of undergraduates in 2022-2023, and that alumni added about $898.5 billion to the economy in 2020.
