119-hr-979, AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act of 2025
AM radio reception as standard equipment in passenger vehicles. This bill would require devices that receive AM broadcasts to be installed as standard equipment in passenger motor vehicles and make AM stations driver-accessible. It defines covered AM technologies and digital AM formats and creates phased compliance rules plus interim labeling and pricing protections. - Drivers and the public: Restores in-car access to AM programming and emergency broadcasts. It commissions a GAO study to compare AM with other Integrated Public Alert and Warning System technologies and to assess whether other technologies can reach at least 90 percent of the U.S. population. - Automakers: Manufacturers would face a federal rulemaking, with the rule to be issued within 1 year and a longer compliance window for very small manufacturers of at least 4 years. Vehicles made after enactment but before the rule’s effective date must carry labels saying they lack AM reception and cannot be charged extra for AM access. - States and enforcement: The bill preempts state and local requirements on AM access. It authorizes civil penalties and Department of Justice injunctive relief and sunsets the enforcement authority 8 years after enactment.

Honors the victims and supports survivors of the August 27, 2025 mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis, where a shooter killed two children and injured 21 people during a back-to-school Mass. The resolution would condemn the violence, offer condolences, commend the bravery of law enforcement, first responders, medical staff at Children’s Minnesota Hospital and Hennepin Healthcare, school and church personnel, and community volunteers, and express solidarity with the Annunciation community, Minnesotans, and faith communities while urging healing through unity, compassion, and shared faith.
119-hr-452, Miracle on Ice Congressional Gold Medal Act
This law awards Congressional Gold Medals to the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team as a formal recognition of their Lake Placid victory and its lasting effect on American morale and the sport of hockey. It directs the Treasury to strike the medals and sets rules for duplicates, display, and funding. - Team legacy and public recognition: The Act honors the 1980 team with a symbolic national award that reinforces their historical and cultural significance for fans, players, and communities connected to the game. - Museum displays and research access: One gold medal goes to the Lake Placid Olympic Center, one to the United States Hockey Hall of Fame Museum in Eveleth, Minnesota, and one to the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs for display and research. - Mint operations and collectibles: The Secretary of the Treasury will strike the medals, may sell bronze duplicates at prices that cover costs, and classifies the medals as national and numismatic items. The U.S. Mint Public Enterprise Fund pays for production and receives proceeds from duplicate sales.
119-hr-9250, Great American Outdoors Act 250
Would reestablish the America’s Legacy Restoration Fund to finance modernization, deferred maintenance, and outdoor recreation projects across federal public lands and the Bureau of Indian Education. The bill would direct specified revenues into a single, Congress-designated Fund and set rules for how projects are picked, funded, and tracked to improve visitor access and infrastructure.
119-hr-3514, Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act of 2025
Standardized electronic prior authorization for Medicare Advantage would force plans to use a Secretary‑approved electronic system and publish detailed prior‑authorization data and criteria. The bill aims to speed decisions, increase transparency, and strengthen enrollee protections. - Medicare Advantage enrollees would get clear access to the PA criteria and protections, and the bill pushes for real‑time decisions for routinely approved items and services. - Providers and suppliers would send PA requests through a secure electronic transmission system that excludes faxes and noncompliant portals, and would receive the criteria used to make PA decisions. - Medicare Advantage plans would need to meet transparency rules starting plan years on or after January 1, 2027 and establish electronic PA programs by January 1, 2028, with CMS publishing plan‑level PA data and the GAO evaluating implementation by January 1, 2032.
119-hr-2102, Major Richard Star Act
Establishes concurrent receipt for retirees with combat-related disabilities. This bill would let eligible retirees receive both military retired pay and veterans' disability compensation for the same months without the offset rules that currently reduce payments. - Families of disabled retirees: Veterans with combat-related disabilities would receive both retired pay and VA disability compensation for the same months, increasing their monthly household income. - Defense and VA payment rules: The bill would amend 10 U.S.C. 1413a and 10 U.S.C. 1414 to exempt retired pay from reductions under 38 U.S.C. 5304 and 5305 and add a clear monthly no-offset rule. - Implementation and technical changes: It renames and updates chapter sections, adjusts cross-references, and applies to payments beginning the first month after enactment.
