In Committee
Summary
National Tire Safety Week is designated June 30 through July 4, 2025 to promote routine tire care and safer driving. The resolution urges drivers to check tire pressure when tires are cold, rotate and balance tires every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, inspect tread depth with a gauge or the penny test, scan for cuts, cracks, bulges, and visit a tire professional for concerns, while noting the week’s origins in a 1938 safety campaign and the large mileage Americans drive on tires.
