Summary
Creates a six-member advisory working group to recommend and plan relief portraits of two women for the Hall of the House. The group includes the Clerk, the House Curator, the Architect of the Capitol Curator, the chair and ranking member of the Committee on House Administration, the chair and ranking member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on the Legislative Branch, and the co-chairs of the Congressional Bipartisan Women’s Caucus. It must consult leading scholars and Library of Congress staff and send the Speaker, the Minority Leader, and the Committee on House Administration a written report recommending the two women, plans for funding and commissioning, installation details including whether to replace any existing portrait, and a timeline that minimizes disruption. The report is due no later than one year after adoption or the end of the One Hundred Nineteenth Congress.
