Recognizing the 250th birthday of the United States Navy.

Sponsored By: Representative LaLota, Nick [R-NY-1]

Introduced

Summary

Honoring the U.S. Navy's 250th anniversary. This resolution would formally recognize that milestone, express appreciation to sailors, veterans, families, and civilian employees, and reaffirm congressional support for the Navy as a vital instrument of national power and global stability. It cites the Navy’s origin in the Continental Congress resolution of October 13, 1775, notes Article I authority to provide and maintain a Navy, and highlights the service’s current scale of more than 290 ships, 3,700 aircraft, and 500,000 active duty, reserve, and civilian personnel.
