Sponsored By: Representative Wasserman Schultz, Debbie [D-FL-25]
Introduced
Summary
Recognize Yom Haplitim, or Jewish Refugee Day. This resolution would formally designate November 30 as a day to honor the roughly 900,000 Jewish people exiled from Arab countries around the founding of Israel and to condemn antisemitism. It would call for educational efforts in the United States, the Middle East, and North Africa about the forced displacement and exile of Jewish communities and express support for safeguarding the well being of Jewish people against present and future threats.
