End methane incentives for oil and gas
If enacted, this bill would repeal Section 136 of the Clean Air Act. That section created a methane emissions and waste-reduction incentive program for petroleum and natural gas systems. If passed, the program's legal authority would end and agencies could no longer give incentives, grants, or other support under that section. The bill would also rescind any unspent amounts made available under that section as of the day before enactment. The repeal would take effect upon enactment.
