Depot investment calculation change for contractors
If enacted, this bill would change how the minimum capital investment is calculated for some Department of Defense depots. It would replace the statutory phrase "the preceding three fiscal years" with a three-year window that uses the preceding fiscal year, the current fiscal year, and an estimated amount for the following fiscal year. Depot operators and contractors covered by 10 U.S.C. 2476(a)(1) could see required minimum investments go up or down depending on how the estimate compares to past actuals. The bill does not change program eligibility, funding levels, or enforcement rules in this text.
